(Photos coming next time I make this recipe :-) )
YOUR SHOPPING LIST:
1 Red Onion
48 oz. Chicken Broth
2 Chicken breasts(I buy pre-seasoned to make life easier)
1 Can (10.5 oz) Cream of chicken soup
1 Can of biscuits(american biscuits not british cookies; just dough really)
1 Bunch of celery
1 Small bag of baby carrots (1 lb/454g bag)
Big pot or Dutch oven
1. Preheat oven to 450
2. Tenderize the chicken (hit it a lot)
3. Put both chicken breasts in oven and set timer for 15 minutes
4. Cut onion in half and dice half the onion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwRttSfnfcc)
5. Take 3-5 stalks of the celery, (depending on how big they are and how much you like celery), chop
6. Put chopped onions and chopped celery in the pot on medium heat, set a timer for five minutes so you don’t forget about them and stir occasionally
7. Chop half the bag of carrots (or the whole bag if you like carrots, live your best life I can’t tell you what to do)
8. when the 15 minute timer goes off take the chicken out of the oven and check that it’s to 165 F. Set it aside to rest
9. After the onions are cooked down a bit (kind of translucent) add 48 oz of broth. [This can be a box of broth or water with bullion cubes or power added. It’s usually about 1 bullion cube or teaspoon of bullion powder for each cup of water. So 48 oz of water =~6teaspoons of bullion.]
10. Add the chopped carrots and turn up heat to medium high or until boiling and boil for 5 minutes (don’t forget to set a timer!).
11. Dice up the chicken and put it in the broth
12. Take a breath, you’re doing it!
13. Now open the can of biscuits. Don’t forget they pop!
14. Roll them flatter. Not too thin. (maybe 1/8 inch thick)
15. Cut all of them into strips about 1/2 in wide.
16. Drop them into pot 1 at a time.
17. Turn heat down low and simmer for 15 minutes.
18. That’s it! You’re done! Go eat! Don’t burn your tongue it’s hot! :)
A good follow up to this recipe is the salmon garlic sauce pasta recipe because you’ll probably have leftover carrots and onions
